The Apple AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case are open-design earbuds that add Active Noise Cancellation, powered by Apple’s H2 chip. This version has a wireless charging case, a volume-swipe force sensor and longer battery life than the standard AirPods 5.

Noise control that adapts to you

Active Noise Cancellation blocks out background noise, and Apple says it is up to 1.5x stronger than the previous generation. Transparency mode lets you hear your surroundings. Adaptive Audio blends the two automatically, and Conversation Awareness lowers the volume when you start talking to someone nearby.

Richer, more detailed sound

A redesigned acoustic architecture, a custom high-excursion driver and adaptive EQ give the AirPods 5 more depth and clarity. Personalised Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking adds a three-dimensional feel to music, films and games. Dual beamforming microphones and Voice Isolation keep your voice clear on calls.

Battery and wireless charging

You get up to 5 hours of listening on a single charge with Active Noise Cancellation on, or up to 7 hours with noise control off. The case extends this to up to 22 hours in total. The Wireless Charging Case charges over USB-C, with an Apple Watch charger or on a Qi-certified charger. It also has a built-in speaker to help you find it with Find My.

Smart controls and everyday durability

The force sensor handles playback and calls, and the swipe gesture lets you change volume without reaching for your phone. With an IP57 rating for dust, sweat and water resistance, they suit workouts and daily use. Live Translation is available in selected languages when paired with a compatible Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone.

Works across your Apple devices

The AirPods 5 pair quickly with iPhone and iPad and switch between your Apple devices. They also work as standard Bluetooth 5.3 earbuds with non-Apple devices, though some features may be limited. A USB-C charge cable and power adapter are not included.
