The Apple AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation bring noise control to Apple’s open-ear AirPods for the first time. They’re powered by the H2 chip and have a redesigned, more comfortable fit. They also come with a compact wireless-charging case.

Active Noise Cancellation without the in-ear seal

Upgraded microphones and the H2 chip help reduce low-frequency noise such as aeroplane engines, air conditioning and city traffic before it reaches your ears. Transparency mode lets you hear your surroundings naturally. Adaptive Audio blends the two automatically as your environment changes.

Clear calls and smart listening

Voice Isolation reduces background noise so you’re easier to hear in loud or windy places. Conversation Awareness lowers your music when you start talking to someone nearby, then brings it back when you finish.

Immersive sound

An Apple-designed driver and amplifier deliver detailed sound with deeper bass and clear highs. Adaptive EQ tunes the music to your ears. Personalised Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking surrounds you with sound for music, films and games.

Comfortable fit and easy controls

The redesigned shape is made to feel secure and comfortable all day. A force sensor in the shorter stem lets you pinch to play, pause and answer calls. Both earbuds and the case are IP54 rated for dust, sweat and water resistance.

Battery and charging

You get up to 5 hours of listening on a single charge, or up to 4 hours with Active Noise Cancellation on. The charging case extends this to up to 30 hours (20 hours with ANC on). The case charges over USB-C, with an Apple Watch charger or on a Qi wireless charger. It also has a built-in speaker so you can find it with Find My.
